Harvest Bake Off raises £860 for Elmsworth Food Bank

Students and staff baked more than 400 cakes, scones and biscuits for our annual Harvest Bake Off, alongside a food collection that filled 42 crates.

Freshly baked scones served with butter, cream and strawberry jam

Our annual Harvest Bake Off was our biggest yet. Over two days, students and staff baked more than 400 cakes, scones and biscuits, which were judged at lunchtime before being sold to hungry students and visitors.

Together with our harvest food collection, which filled 42 crates with tins, cereals and toiletries, the event raised £860 for Elmsworth Food Bank.

The winners

  • Best in show: Lucy Bennett, Year 9, for her lemon and elderflower drizzle cake
  • Best scones: Ms Adeyemi’s tutor group, 10A
  • Most creative bake: Ravi Patel, Year 7, for a gingerbread model of the school

The team at Elmsworth Food Bank told us the donations will help more than 150 local families this autumn. Thank you to everyone who baked, bought or donated.
